The Games for Health Project is another group that thinks healthcare education and gaming go well together (we agree!) and their 2011 conference is coming soon. It is their 7th annual conference and will take place May 17-19 at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston. Read more about the project and the conference at their website. It may be a bit late to submit content to the conference, but submissions are still being accepted. You can check for requirements here and also read about what you can expect to see at the conference.
In past years the Games for Health Project has focused mainly on healthcare education for patients, but this year they’ve expanded to include medical modeling, simulation, training, and education with video games through their Ludica Medica pre-conference event.
The Games for Health Conference is part of Games Beyond Entertainment Week, a series of one and two-day conferences designed to explore serious game and emerging market opportunities for video games and video game technologies. Their website appears to not have been updated since last year’s event, but it’s still worth checking out. If nothing else it links to a lot of great serious gaming resources.
