I will be headed out at the crack of dawn (why I think 6:00 AM flights are a good idea remains a mystery to me), making my way to Boston for Games for Health 2011. I am speaking Tuesday afternoon during the Medica Ludica track. I am talking about the application of contemporary theory for Game-Based Learning for [Medical Education]
multi-disciplinary clinical education. The entire conference looks fantastic. The Medica Ludica track looks great. Several friends and colleagues are also presenting including Jeff Taekman, from Duke, Parvati Dev from Innovations in Learning Inc., and Bob Waddington from SimQuest. The folks from Virtual Heroes will also be presenting one of their new games, Blast. I am also looking forward to seeing Harvey Magee from TATRC speak. I have heard a lot of good things about Magee and am anxious to hear him speak [Games, Sims, and Advanced Technology: Where the Armed Forces Simulation Institute for Medicine is going]. I hope to see you there!
