Bauman presents at the 2019 Society for Technology in Anesthesia

Dr. Eric B. Bauman was honored to serve as an invited panelist at the 2019 Society for Technology in Anesthesia (STA) in Scottsdale, AZ, January 9-12. This year’s theme and conference title was Machine Meets Mind. Bauman was part of a panel titled Innovations in Technology In Medical Education. His presentation was titled Augmented Reality for Medical Education. The panel was facilitated by Dr. Daniel Katz, Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

The other panelists included Dr. Anjan Shah, Assistant Professor Anesthesiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai who presented on Screen Based Simulation for Medical Education and Cole Sandau CEO from Health Scholars who presented on Virtual Reality for Medical Education.

The STA’s mission is to improve the quality of patient care by innovation in the use of technology and its application. The STA promotes education and research, collaborates with local, national, and international organizations, sponsors meetings and exhibitions, awards grants, and recognizes achievement.
