Bauman and Coauthors Contribute to Virtual Simulation Textbook

Professors Randy Gordon and Dee McGonigle recently completed a new publication, Virtual Simulation in Nursing Education, which includes the contributions of 27 authors from the field of virtual simulation related to nursing education. The book outlines the process of integrating virtual simulation into existing curricula and how to develop and enhance current teaching strategies.

Dr. Eric B. Bauman, Penny Ralsont-Berg, and Dr. Gregory E. Gilbert authored a chapter titled: The Nexus of Game Development: Curricular Integration & Faculty Development in the new textbook. The entire textbook is framed around the Student Technology Strategic Integration Model (FAST SIM©). This model argues that educators must give equal appreciation and recognition to faculty, administrators, and students as significant contributors to the technology integration process for simulation in nursing.

Virtual Simulation in Nursing Education is scheduled for release in spring, 2018.
