I am delighted to be moderating the first in a four-speaker game development pro-series on Wednesday April 6th at Noon Central. Even more exciting is that the first speaker is award winning game director and entrepreneur, Brenda Romero! Romero asks the question, who determines the cultural and societal considerations of our physical and digital lives? What gets left out, and what gets brought in? Meta verses are mirrors of their creators. As a game director, Romero has worked on over 50 games and contributed to many seminal titles, including the Wizardry and Jagged Alliance series and titles in the Ghost Recon, Dungeons & Dragons and Def Jam franchises. Romero is the recipient of multiple lifetime achievement awards, a Grace Hopper Award, a GDC Ambassador Award. Romero is CEO and co-founder of Romero Games based in Galway, Ireland. Romero gave the best academic keynote I have ever attended several years ago at a Game+Learning+Society conference where she received a sustained standing ovation. Do not miss this wonderful opportunity!
