Dr. Eric B. Bauman Provides Game-Based Learning Workshop for San Francisco State University School of Nursing

Dr. Eric B. Bauman recently returned from a visit to the San Francisco State University School of Nursing where he provided a workshop on Game-Based Learning for Nursing and Clinical Education on April, 3, 2013. He was invited to the San Francisco State campus after Jill Saberman, MSN, WHNP-BC who is the campus Simulation Program Coordinator saw Bauman’s plenary session and workshop at the 2012 Magic in Teaching Conference sponsored by the California Simulation Alliance and the University of San Francisco School of Nursing.

Bauman spent the morning discussing and demonstrating how game and mobile application learning can be integrated into nursing and health sciences curricula.  During the afternoon he met with various faculty to provide in depth consultation related to concepts of best-practice and best-fit when choosing specific types of digital environments and learning platforms for nursing and clinical education.
